Easter’s on its way and it’s the perfect excuse to throw a totally girly garden tea-party and celebrate everything that’s fresh, bright and optimistic about Spring. Bunting, flowers, cake stands, ribbons – anything goes.

Simple glass jam jars are the perfect vases for delicate spring blooms. Against a fresh white tablecloth these flowers make a casually pretty table decoration.
…or you could tie a few spring flowers together for a pretty place setting. With a little handwritten name tag on a crisp white china plate, it’s all the decoration you need.

A spring tea party is also the perfect excuse to use your colourful glass and china. Glass cake stands look lovely piled up with colourful cupcakes or foil wrapped Easter eggs.

Enamel jugs make great vases for displaying larger bunches of spring flowers such as daffodils. I love these pastel coloured ones from The Contemporary Home.
And finally, a clash of colours can look gorgeous on an outside table. I love the contrast of this vintage enamel cutlery against the spring green polka dot placemat. The white napkin looks lovely simply tied with colourful ribbon and fresh flowers.
